Clinical Child and Adolescent Psychology (CCAP)

The Clinical Child and Adolescent Psychology (CCAP) program is one of four graduate fields offered by the Department of Psychology at the University of Guelph.

Aside from classroom learning, PhD and master's level students in the program engage in clinical training at the Maplewoods Centre and at external practicum sites.

Students offer psychological assessment and therapy for children, adolescents and their families under the supervision of clinical faculty and staff.

CCAP is one of only a handful of accredited child and adolescent-focused clinical psychology programs in Canada and is nationally regarded as offering exceptional education and training within this domain.

CCAP is accredited as a Doctoral program in Clinical Psychology by the Canadian Psychological Association (CPA). Graduates of the program have the coursework and practical experience to apply for registration as a Psychologist with the College of Psychologists of Ontario (CPO).
