Couple and Family Therapy (CFT)
The Couple and Family Therapy (CFT) program is one of four graduate programs offered by the Department of Family Relations and Applied Nutrition (FRAN) at the University of Guelph.
The MSc CFT program was established in the Department of Family Studies at the University of Guelph in 1979, and was accredited by the Commission on Accreditation for Marriage and Family Therapy Education (COAMFTE) from 1989-2021.
Today, the program is a Recognized Education and Training Program with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO) and holds provisional accreditation with the Canadian Association for Marriage and Family Therapy (CAMFT).
CFT graduate students offer systemic relational therapy to individuals, couples, and families at the Maplewoods Centre for Family Therapy and Child Psychology, located on the University campus.
